
ASTM A572 grade 50 H beam is produced using controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology, with a flange width of up to 400mm and a web thickness accuracy of ± 0.5mm. Its minimum yield strength is 345MPa, carbon equivalent is controlled below 0.42%, and Z-directional performance meets Z15 standards, making it particularly suitable for large-span factory truss systems.
When customizing, the cross-sectional parameters can be adjusted according to engineering requirements, such as H400 × 200 × 8 × 12 specifications, which allow for a single length of 18 meters without splicing. Compared with domestic Q355B, its low-temperature impact energy (-20 ℃) is ≥ 34J, making it more suitable for use in cold northern regions.
It should be noted that the American standard ASTM A6 requires that the flange slope should be ≤ 1:16, and NDT should be carried out before welding.
