What is the difference between alloy steel pipe and seamless pipe

Alloy steel pipe is defined according to the production material (i.e. steel grade). As the name implies, it is steel pipe made of alloy. While seamless pipe is defined according to the production process (seamless / welded), and it is different from welded pipe, which includes longitudinal welded pipe and spiral welded pipe.

Alloy steel pipe has hollow cross-section, which is widely used for transporting fluid, such as oil, gas, water and some solid materials.

Alloy steel pipe is a kind of seamless pipe, and its performance is much higher than ordinary seamless pipe. Because alloy steel pipe contains more Cr, its high temperature, low temperature and corrosion resistance performance can not be compared by other seamless pipe. Therefore, alloy steel pipe is widely used in petroleum, aerospace, chemical, electric power, boiler, military industry and other industries.
