ASTM A517 specification covers Grades A, B, H, S, E,F, P, Q high strength alloy steel. This specification specifies Grade B steel plates thickness up to 1.25 in. [32 mm]. A517 Grade B high strength tempered and quenched plate are suitable for materials used in the application of fusion welded boilers and pressure vessel.
