What are the mechanical properties of SS400 steel?

SS400 steel plate is a Japanese standard carbon structural steel. The specification is JIS G3101.

The SS400 steel plate is similar to Q235B in Chinese standard, but there are differences in detailed goals. Q235 has requirements for the contents of C, Si, Mn, S, P and other elements, but SS400 only requires S and P to be less than 0.050.
