Sale 4000 ton weather resistant S355J0W steel to Morocco

In October, 2018, our Malaysia customer purchased 600 Tons CCS-AH36 Ship Building Steel Plates to use in their shipbuilding project .This customer is a famous shipyard in Malaysia. Their company has the business scope of tourism, weather resistant S355J0W steel shipbuilding, transportation and so on. As a terminal manufacturer, they have strict requirements on quality . For the estimation in April and the second quarter, the estimation on March 16 is still valid, but the decrease in April is 10% higher than the neutral prediction. It is a conservative estimation based on 10% for the high probability event. In the second quarter, the output of overseas pig iron will be reduced by 11.67 million tons, affecting the demand for weather resistant S355J0W steel iron ore of about 1.84 million tons; in the first half of the year, the output will be reduced by 18.899 million tons, affecting the demand for iron ore of 32.13 million tons.

The deoxidation ability of Al is much stronger than that of Si and Mn when aluminum element (Al element) is added into steel as deoxidizer or alloying element. The main role of aluminum in weather resistant S355J0W steel etc. steel is to refine grain size and fix nitrogen in steel, so as to significantly improve the impact toughness of steel and reduce the tendency of cold brittleness and aging. Al element can also improve the corrosion resistance of steel, especially when used with molybdenum, copper, silicon, chromium and other elements. The wear resistance of chromium molybdenum steel and chromium steel can be increased by containing Al element.

According to the latest data released by the world iron and Steel Association, in March 2020, the crude steel production of 64 countries and regions included in the statistics of the organization totaled 147 million tons, down 6.4% year-on-year. In the first quarter, the weather resistant S355J0W steel, global crude steel production reached 442 million tons, down 1.3% year-on-year. Because of the new crown epidemic, factories in Europe, the United States and other places were shut down, Global steel production outside China fell the most since the financial crisis.
