Material Properties
S32205 and S31803 duplex stainless steels combine austenite and ferrite structures, achieving a yield strength of 400-550 MPa, twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steels, while maintaining an elongation of over 25%. With a pitting resistance equivalent (PREN) value of 32-33, they significantly outperform 316L stainless steel in resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments.

Processing Advantages
S32205 S31803 duplex stainless steel plates and coils can be produced through hot forming (1150-950℃) and cold working, but the risk of sigma embrittlement at high temperatures must be considered. They offer excellent weldability, eliminating the need for preheating and ensuring interpass cooling below 150℃ to ensure weld quality.

Applications
S32205 S31803 duplex stainless steel plates and coils are widely used in petrochemical pipelines, offshore equipment, pressure vessels, and food processing machinery, they are particularly well-suited for harsh operating conditions ranging from -50℃ to 600℃.
