S31803 (UNS S31803), a similar duplex grade with 21% chromium and 5% nickel, excels in acidic environments (e.g., sulfuric acid) and high-pressure applications like heat exchangers and oil refining equipment. Both materials feature 50/50 austenite-ferrite microstructure for optimal weldability and corrosion resistance.

436 Stainless Steel Coils‌
436 (UNS S43600), a ferritic stainless steel with 17% chromium, offers cost-effective oxidation resistance (up to 800°C) for automotive exhaust systems, kitchen appliances, and decorative trim. While less corrosion-resistant than duplex grades, its magnetic properties and affordability make it suitable for non-chloride environments.
