Parameter Optimization
Cutting speed and current need to be dynamically matched. For example, the cutting speed formula for carbon steel is V = K × I / δ (where K is the material coefficient and δ is the plate thickness). Use 100% speed for straight sections, reduce to 70% in areas with sudden changes in curvature, and further reduce to 50% for hole and groove structures. The nozzle height should be 1.5-2 times the hole diameter, and arc voltage fluctuations should be controlled within ±5V.
Safe Operation
Flame cutting requires temperature control to avoid burning the steel plate. For laser cutting, power needs to be adjusted according to thickness, and focusing accuracy affects the result. Plasma cutting requires maintaining a stable distance between the torch and the workpiece. Operators must wear protective equipment and ensure good ventilation.
Material Selection
Flame cutting is suitable for 6-300mm carbon steel. Plasma cutting is suitable for various thicknesses. Laser cutting is preferred for high-precision requirements below 25mm. Wear-resistant steel plates require plasma or laser cutting to avoid heat-affected zone cracks.
