A36 steel plate cutting primarily utilizes four processes: flame cutting, plasma cutting, laser cutting, and waterjet cutting. Flame cutting is cost-effective and suitable for thick plates; plasma cutting is fast and suitable for medium-thick plates; laser cutting offers high precision and is suitable for complex shapes; and waterjet cutting produces no thermal deformation and is suitable for various thicknesses.
When cutting thick A36 steel plates, the process should be selected based on the material characteristics. Waterjet cutting is the ideal choice for ultra-thick plates, ensuring high-quality cuts; flame cutting requires attention to preheating and nozzle angle to avoid backfire.
During operation, it is necessary to check the equipment, adjust parameters, and pay attention to safety. The distance and angle between the cutting nozzle and the A36 steel plate should be adjusted according to the thickness, maintaining a constant speed and promptly addressing any abnormal situations such as backfire.
