ASTM A572 A992 grade 50 steel H beam belongs to high strength low alloy structural steel, formed by hot rolling process, with yield strength ≥ 345MPa and carbon equivalent ≤ 0.45%. Fine grain strengthening is achieved by adding microalloying elements such as niobium and vanadium. Its typical cross-sectional dimensions range from W4 × 13 to W44 × 335 in the American standard series, with a flange thickness of 6-90mm. It has excellent bending stiffness (elastic modulus of 200GPa) and seismic performance (0 ℃ impact energy ≥ 54J).
High strength ASTM A572 A992 grade 50 steel H beams are mainly used in high-rise building steel structures, industrial plant trusses, and bridge support systems, especially for key load-bearing components of large-span spatial structures. When purchasing, it is necessary to pay attention to checking the sulfur and phosphorus content (≤ 0.030%) and Z15 anti layer tearing performance indicators in the material certificate.
