China's steel exports exceeded 20 million tons from January to April 2020

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs of China, China's steel export volume reached 64.29 million tons in 2019, a cumulative decrease of 7.3%. As of April 2020, China's steel export volume was 6.32 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 0.1%. In cumulative terms, China's steel export volume from January to April 2020 reached 20.6 million tons, a decrease of 2.75 million tons compared with the same period of last year, with a cumulative decrease of 11.7%.

In terms of export amount, China's steel export value in 2019 reached 53760.26 million US dollars (53760260 thousand US dollars), with a cumulative decrease of 11.3%. As of April 2020, China's steel exports amounted to US $4753.6 million, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%.

In terms of accumulation, from January to April 2020, China's steel export amount reached 15717.24 million US dollars, which decreased by 2767872 thousand US dollars compared with the same period of last year, with a cumulative decrease of 14.9%; from January to April of 2020, the average price of China's steel exports was 762973 thousand US dollars / 10000 tons.
