Bending performance of 1100 aluminum coil for architectural curtain walls

Basic Performance: 1100-H18 aluminum coil is industrial pure aluminum and cannot be heat-treated for strengthening. However, after work hardening, it exhibits medium strength (tensile strength ≥ 110 MPa) and excellent ductility (elongation ≥ 20%), making it suitable for bending.

Processing Requirements: When bending 1100 aluminum coil, the minimum bend radius R ≥ 2t (t is the thickness). Thin sheets (t ≤ 3mm) are recommended to be preheated to 150-200°C to eliminate internal stress and prevent cracking.

Advantages of 1100 aluminum coil: Its high corrosion resistance and plasticity (supporting stamping and bending) meet the complex design requirements of curtain wall applications. Surface treatment (such as fluorocarbon coating) can enhance weather resistance.
