ASTM A387 grade 22 class 2 steel plate is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel specially designed for high temperature and high pressure vessels, containing Cr 2.0% -2.5% and Mo 0.9% -1.1%, with excellent hydrogen corrosion resistance and creep resistance. Its normalizing and tempering heat treatment state (CL2) gives it higher strength stability than CL1.
The tensile strength of the A387 grade 22 class 2 steel plate reaches 515-690MPa, the yield strength is ≥ 310MPa, and the long-term applicable temperature range is 480-595 ℃. Typical applications for hydrogenation equipment such as petrochemical hydrogenation reactors and coal liquefaction units, corresponding to the national standard grade 12Cr2Mo1R.
During A387 grade 22 class 2 steel welding, it is necessary to strictly control the preheating temperature (≥ 150 ℃) and interlayer temperature (≤ 300 ℃). It is recommended to use AWS A5.5 standard E8018-B2 welding material. All A387 grade 22 class 2 steel plates must undergo 100% ultrasonic testing to ensure internal quality.
