The proportion of steel used in China in the world

In 2020, it is estimated that the global steel demand will be 1.75 billion tons, and China's 970 million tons will account for 55% of the global total. Asia accounts for 73% of global steel demand. The rest of Asia's demand is 300 million tons, accounting for 40% of the total excluding China. Asia is unique in steel consumption!

It is 170 million tons in Europe, 130 million tons in North America, 53 million tons in the former Soviet Union, 49 million tons in the Middle East, 47 million tons in the Americas and 5.8 million tons in Oceania.
