What does steel S460N stand for? the letter S is short for Structural steel. The number 460 stand for the minimum yield strength is 460MPa for S460N steel. The character N is for Normalised rolling when produce in mill. For steel plates S460N, our minimum order quantity shall be above 10 tons for each thickness. For St37-2 steel material, S460N hot rolled steel plate specification available, our plate thickness ranges from 8mm to 200mm.

After quenching and tempering, 40Cr alloy steel plate and St37-2 steel material sheet have good comprehensive mechanical properties, good low temperature impact toughness and low notch sensitivity. The hardenability of steel St37-2 steel material is good. It can be hardened to Ф28 ～ 60mm during water quenching and Ф15 ～ 40mm during oil quenching. In addition to quenching and tempering, this steel is also suitable for cyanidation and induction hardening. The cutting performance is better. When the hardness is HB174 ～ 229, the relative cutting workability is 60%. 40Cr alloy steel is suitable for making medium-sized plastic molds.

Both the cross rolling method and the extrusion method must first heat the tube blank or ingot, and the steel tube produced is called hot rolling tube. Steel pipes produced by hot working can sometimes be cold worked as required. In engineering, usually S355JR steel is equivalent to Q345B steel, S355J0 steel is equivalent to Q345C steel, S355J2 steel is equivalent to Q345D steel, S355N steel is equivalent to Q345D steel, and S355NL steel is equivalent to Q345E steel.
