The capital letter H in S355J0H and S355J2H stands for ""Hollow section"", which respectively represents the pipe of S355J0 and S355J2.The Executive Standards of S355J0 steel and S355J2 steel, SM490B grade steel are both EN 10025-2, the difference is that they have different temperature requirements for impact energy: S355J0 - impact energy at 0 ℃ is required to be ≥ 27J. S355J2: impact energy at - 20 ℃ is required to be ≥ 27J.

Mechanical Properties A242 steel:
ASTM A242 specification is made for low alloy steel with high strength, it has good atmospheric corrosion resistance, some applications has shown that it has better corrosion resistance than ASTM A36 steel and ASTM A572 Grade 50.
