ASTM A514 steel is mainly used in places where high tensile strength and high yield are required, such as engineering vehicle lifting gears, large excavators, offshore platforms, etc. Different grades of A514 steel plate have different thickness, chemical composition and properties. However, the S275N steel material mechanical properties specified in ASTM A514 are similar to those of Q690 in China. A514 grade Q is generally used as the rack for offshore platform. Its hardness is between 230-390MPa, yield is greater than 630MPa, and tensile strength is more than 700MPa.
