Results of the National Air Quality Forecast Conference in the First Half of July

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the results of the national air quality forecast consultation in the first half of July.

On June 30, 2021, the China National Environmental Monitoring Center, together with the Central Meteorological Observatory, the National Air Pollution Prevention and Control Center, the Northeast, South, Southwest, Northwest, and Yangtze River Delta Regional Air Quality Prediction and Forecast Centers, and the Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, will launch in July In the first half of the month (1-15), the national air quality forecast conference will be held.

In the first half of July, most of the country's diffusion conditions were good, and the air quality was mainly good. Affected by high temperature and strong sunlight, there may be slight ozone pollution in the local area. Among them, on the 1st, 4-6, 11-15, the central and southern Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas, the junction of Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong and Henan, the northeastern region and the Fenwei Plain may have moderate ozone pollution.

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas: In the first half of July, the air quality in the northern part of the region was mainly good, and the central and southern parts were mainly good to lightly polluted. The main pollutant was ozone. Among them, on the 1st, the overall air quality in the region was mainly from good to light pollution. There may be a moderate ozone pollution process in southern Hebei, western Shandong and Henan; 3-6 days in southwestern Shanxi, central and northern Henan, and western Shandong. There may be a short-term and moderate ozone pollution process in the region; from 11 to 15 days, the overall air quality in the region is dominated by good to light pollution. The local areas of northern Henan, western Shandong, and southern Hebei may experience mild to moderate ozone pollution.

Beijing: In the first half of July, the air quality is mainly good. Among them, on the 7-9th and 13-15th, the air quality was mainly from good to light pollution, and the primary pollutant was ozone.

Yangtze River Delta region: In the first half of July, the air quality in most of the region was mainly from good to light pollution, and the primary pollutant was ozone. Among them, from 7 to 15 days, a process of moderate ozone pollution may occur locally in inland areas.

Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong and Henan regions: In the first half of July, the air quality in most of the region was mainly from good to light pollution, and the primary pollutant was ozone. Among them, on 4-6 days and 10-15 days, moderate ozone pollution may occur locally.
