S355NL normalized steel has different impact energy requirement for impact tests at different temperature environment. S355NL plate shall be done impacting test in longitudinal direction under -50℃ with the minimum energy 27J. When customers request done charpy_V notch test under -20℃,then the impacting energy shall be above 47J. For the transverse direction,the engery shall be above 16J under the temperature -50℃. The steel Grade S355NL making process shall according to EN10025-1.

Q235 steel grades cover Q235A, Q235B, Q235C and Q235D. Other than Q235A, the other three Q235 steel grades needs impact test. Charpy V-notch specimen is used for impact toughness test. The impact toughness index is Akv. Q235 steel plates are widely used because of its moderate carbon content, good comprehensive performance, good coordination of strength, plasticity and welding performance.

Laser cutting has no burr, wrinkle and precision is high. It is superior to plasma cutting. Laser cutting has good cutting quality, narrow cutting width (generally 0.1-0.5m m), high accuracy (generally 0.1-0.4mm hole center distance error, 0.1-0.5mm contour dimension error), good surface roughness (generally Ra is 12.5-25μm), and the cutting seam can be welded without further processing. Fast cutting speed: for example, with 2kW laser power, the cutting speed of 8mm thick carbon steel is 1.6m/min.
