Chemical composition and properties of 16MnCr5 20MnCr5 carburized steel

16MnCr5 carburized steel is a steel imported from Germany, which is equivalent to 16CrMn steel in China (refer to GB/T 5216). 16MnCr5 steel has good hardenability and machinability, wear resistance, low temperature impact toughness is also high. 16MnCr5 gear steel is used after carburizing and quenching, and is mainly used to manufacture gears, worms, sealing bushings and other parts.

The thickness of 16MnCr5 and 20MnCr5 steel plates is currently 8-100mm, the width is 1600-4020mm, the length is 6000-18500mm, and the minimum capacity is more than 50 tons (if there is a small batch, it depends on the actual situation)

16MnCr5 and 20MnCr5 carburized steel delivery state: normalized + tempered; also can be delivered in tempered state according to customer's opinion.

16MnCr5 carburized steel heat treatment specification and metallographic structure:
Heat treatment specification: 900℃ oil quenching + 870℃ oil quenching, 200℃ tempering.
Metallographic structure: tempered martensite.

Uses: Manufacturing gears, worms, plastic molds, turbine oil seals and gasoline sleeves, etc.
