Our quality control department will do inspection for details of the steel materials corten a mechanical properties before delivery. We would invite the customer side to attend the inspection together. If they can not come, we will also take rich pictures for them to check. Meanwhile, we will publish inspection report and send them the PDF version. Besides, we accept any third party inspection such as SGS, BV, etc. And our quality control department will support the third party to inspect the steel materials smoothly and try our best to deliver the qualified steel materials to customers earlier.
The yield point of the steel structure determines the stress that the structure can withstand without permanent deformation. The minimum yield point of typical carbon structural steel is 235MPa. The minimum yield point of typical low-alloy high-strength steel is 345MPa. Therefore, according to the proportional relationship of its yield point, the use of low-alloy high-strength steel allows the stress to be 1.4 times higher than that of carbon structural steel. Compared with corten a mechanical properties, carbon structural steel, the use of low-alloy high-strength steel can reduce the size of structural parts and reduce weight.
Weathering steel generally adopts the process route of fine material into the furnace-smelting (converter, electric furnace-microalloying treatment-argon blowing-LF refining-low superheat continuous casting (feeding rare earth wire)-controlled rolling and cooling. The scrap steel is added into the furnace together with the charge, and smelted according to the conventional process. After the corten a mechanical properties steel is tapped, deoxidizers and alloys are added. After the molten steel is treated with argon blowing, the molten steel is cast. By adding rare earth elements to the steel, the corten a mechanical properties weathering steel is purified and the content of inclusions is greatly reduced.
In January, 2019, our South Africa customer purchased 669 tons S235J2+N carbon steel plates to use in their tank fabrication project . S235J2 steel, as a non-alloy structural steel grade, is mainly used in structural projects and tanks. J2 symbol -20 temperature impact test. The client required CEV 0.38%, S≤0.01%, 100% UT, Charpy V-notch impact test at-20℃, Z25 for S235J2+N plates. After they receiving the S235J2+N steel plates, the customer are very satisfied with the quality of this batch of corten a mechanical properties products.
