VL E460 steel: is a structural steel plate for ships and offshore engineering."VL" stands for the abbreviation of "DNVGL", which is a standard certified by the two classification societies of DNV (Norway) and GL (Germany). Mechanical Properties A242 steel:
ASTM A242 specification is made for low alloy steel with high strength, it has good atmospheric corrosion resistance, some applications has shown that it has better corrosion resistance than ASTM A36 steel and ASTM A572 Grade 50.
